Description: 1) Today we want to create some cool own letters. I use Photoshop 7. 2) Create a new document 500 to 500 pixel. Create a new layer above the background-layer.
Description: 3) Take the freeform pen Tool and draw a B or something else. I used a B. 4) After that define a master diameter of the Brush Tool of 21. Foreground FFCC66.
Description: 5) Now take the Convert Point Tool and make some smooth curves onto your path.
Description: 6) Now make a right click onto your path and choose stroke path. Simulate Presure checked (Only PS7).
Description: 7) Delete the path. Click o the B Layer while holding down CTRL to get the selection. Go to the Channels palette and create a new channel. Fill the selection with white. 8) Go to Filter-Blur and Gaussian Blur your B with about 5.
Description: 9) Go back to the Layers Palette while keeping up the selection. 10) Go to Filter-Render-Lightning Effects and choose Texture Layer Alpha 1. 11) Ready. This tequnique can applied in very many variations. Have fun.
